Milan Apartment

Ariana Kamin Design Studio reimagines this Milan apartment as a composed refuge where contemporary clarity meets lived warmth. The scheme balances layered textures and an intentional palette—soft neutrals warmed by timber, leather, and handwoven textiles—to create rooms that feel both refined and inviting.

The living room is a study in restraint and material depth, the living space is anchored by a monumental fireplace clad in oxidized metal panels—its patina shifting subtly with light. Pale stone and soft upholstery temper the weight of darker elements, creating a balanced tension between solidity and softness. Low, sculptural furnishings and curated objects rest with intention, allowing negative space to speak as clearly as form. The composition is quiet, architectural, and deliberate—where every surface carries presence without excess.

The bedroom, an intimate, immersive retreat where art and architecture dissolve into one continuous gesture. Expansive, textural wall panels in deep blues and muted greens envelop the room, creating a painterly backdrop that feels both atmospheric and contemplative. Dark wood flooring grounds the space, while soft, neutral bedding introduces a gentle contrast. Integrated lighting and minimal furnishings heighten the sense of calm, allowing material, tone, and shadow to define the experience.

Curated art is treated as a narrative thread rather than an accessory. Pieces are commissioned and curated to dialogue with material choices, scale, and light—enhancing spatial rhythm and contributing to the apartment’s thoughtful character.
